Relay For Life 2014

Congratulations to all who participated in the
2014 Relay For Life event! Many PT students get involved in Relay and have a great experience.

2 PT students, Lauren Scantland (Class of 2016) and Dharti Shah (Class of 2017) were able to give a short response on what the event is like and why it is so meaningful to them:

SLU Relay For Life raised $142,281,14 by the end of the event on Sunday morning, and this number has since increased to $146,527.14.  Not only did we break our goal of $140,000, but we also met our goals for participants with over 1,500 and luminaria with over 650.  Thank you to all who participated, donated, and showed your support in any way - this was one of the best Relays that SLU has ever had.  This event would not be possible without your help!

Relay for Life is the largest event behind Make a Difference Day on SLU's campus!
Students gather for a night to celebrate people who have won their battle against cancer, remember those who have been lost, and fight back against the disease that keeps threatening us. Do not be fooled, while Relay for Life is an emotional event, the night is lit with beautiful luminaria bags, smiling faces, and laughter to go around. With events ranging from inflatable twister, Zumba, Water Balloon Dunk Tanks, and a Silent Rave, Relay for Life breathes life and excitement into this campus. Relayers don't need to train for this event--it's not a run! It's a night to walk the track, enjoy the atmosphere around you, and to find support in this open and warm community.
